Krzysztof Nykiel was born in 1972. He is a representative of the fifth generation of farmers in his family. He and his son run a 100 ha farm located in Kaszewy, just 10 km from the geometric center of Poland. On the farm they grow sugar beet, wheat, and maize for grain. Since 2002, he has been the president of the Sugar Beet Growers Association in Dobrzelin. In the years 2007-2010 he was a member of the Supervisory Board of Krajowa Spółka Cukrowa. In 2015, he was elected President of the Main Board of the National Association of Sugar Beet Growers in Poland - KZPBC, and in 2016, a member of the Presidium of the International Confederation of European Beet Growers - CIBE. From 2022, he is also the president of the Federation of Food Economy of the Republic of Poland, an organization that brings together representatives of the agri-food industry.
